Addition
IT ALL ADDS UP
Addition is a boutique collection of homes that delivers architecture by the renowned Richard Henriquez, a central downtown location and luxury-level interior design and finishes at a decidedly affordable price for Vancouver’s downtown core. The name references the building’s status as a landmark addition to downtown architecture and living.
The logo is inspired by the unique architecture of the project – the staircase visual is one of the surrealist-inspired elements in the entry of the building. The stairs also represent upward motion and the idea of home. The shape became a bright, bold and contemporary pattern that has been a unique and recognizable element of the brand. Another important brand visual is a photographic study of Hornby Street, on which the project is located. Photos show the wide variety of activities – from water to water – that one can explore on Hornby street, including quintessential Vancouver icons such as Granville Island, the Vancouver Library and the Olympic cauldron and Canada Place.
The project’s main printed piece is a pocket-sized folder containing a foldout brochure and floorplans. From this initially small package interior elements unfold to very large fomats, demonstrating the surprisingly spacious interior designs of the units themselves.
